LOG 6 Date: Monday, June 26, 2006 Mileage – Starts: 613.4; Ends: 815.0 Time – leave 8:57am/ 11:57am ET; Arrive 6:31pm/ 9:31pm ET Breakfast – cereal, toast, and orange juice Lunch – sandwiches, cookies, chips, lemonade, and Snapple Dinner – fried chickens, roasted chicken, salad with ziti, and lemonade Destination – Mt. St. Helens Route – Rt. 5 North to Rt. 504 East Price of gas - $2.98 Scenery – Very hot day, very curvy roads, not a lot of evergreen but not near Mt. St. Helens, saw a lot of old fallen trees from the eruptions. Landscape: mountains and sandy plains. We did visit Johnston ridge area, Hummocks trail, and other observation places. Headlines – Here we go again with other hot day! Highlights – It was very hot and wonderful day to see Mt. St. Helens!
