HOLA!!! ¿Como estan todos? Mañana es el último dia de OTR. Today was a perfect weather and sunny all day with mostly cloudy. We woke up ok, because we still tired. So, we continued to type our journals and investigations and we make our own lunch and dinner because we went to Chaco Culture National Historical Park and there are no stores, foods, traffics, light and nothing. But only the lights have in Pueblo Bonito at night it is the moon and during day the light it is the sun. Their place was called Pueblo Bonito and it is the oldest and largest than all of the Pueblos. Also, Pueblo Bonito it was a Plaza. When we were in Pueblo Bonito I was feeling a little bit with the Great Spirit because Pueblo Bonito already set up a long time ago in AD 830. Barbara French drove in the traffic very smoothly. Also, when I was in van I was examining the landscape to compare when we arrived in Chaco Culture National. Both of Santa Fe and Pueblo Bonito are hot also, but the landscape it is different. How were they different? In Santa Fe they are more trees but not like in the eastern forest, dark green and brown too and the tree is like scattered. In Pueblo Bonito there is more desert and less trees than in Santa Fe and I was seeing that whole big rock is called a butte. We entered in the visitor center in the National Park then the man who works there told us the guide already went with group in Pueblo Bonito so we arrived there a little bit late. Barbara French drove to Pueblo Bonito where the guide stops with the group and his name is Joe Kennedy. Kennedy’s parents are deaf and he knew some sign language because sometime when we talked to him with sign language he can understand some and he can talk a little bit with sign language with us. Again it is the small world!! Mr. Kennedy showed us the oldest Pueblo Bonito and he was explaining to us too about the line in the wall with the sun north, south, east and west but really there was no written proof. Also, I saw three great Kivas and people cook there, lived near Kivas and also are not for celebration of people, it was for people who lived there -“Hotel”. Other things the guide showed us had three different kinds of walls because one it was not too fancy and the other wall it was all right. The last one it was fancier and better. So, we have more information in our investigations. In Pueblo Bonito it was very motivating and fascinating. But remember nothing is in written proof. Most of the time people guessed and they had a theory about it. If “outside” people ask to other people from Pueblo Bonito they won’t tell you because it is a secret. I observed all the land from Pueblo Bonito and imagined how they lived there and changed their life also with the Great Spirit. That it was by afternoon, when the guide finished explaining everything to us and to the other people too. We went back in the van then Barbara French drove around to Pueblo Bonito then she parked in front of the visitor center. So, what we did was to continue to type our hard work and eat some of our dinner because we wanted to see the sky at night with the telescope. Anne Nutt was “napping” because of her back had a little bit of pain. When the man arrived who work in the National Park, we entered there to watch the movie and he was explaining about the Pueblo Bonito and National Aeronautics and Space administration by night. At 9:00pm we saw the full moon and bright! However, the sky was cloudy then we could not see the stars from the space. The man showed us the moon with the telescope and other people too. We left there because the man told us we can’t see the stars, oh well. That does not matter, but really we wanted see it!! We back to NMSD at 1:00am toooo late and we were too fatigued again. Then everyone went to bed to get ready to wake up tomorrow to continue our hard work because WE CAN WORK HARD!!!
