Rio Grande/Taos Pueblo
Day 7

We brought our laptops to complete journals and investigations.  We have a long travel from Santa Fe to Taos and it is about 72 miles and 1 half hour. We went to Taos visitor center and I took picture with a black bird carrying food. It was a gorgeous picture and the black bird too. We went to the Rio Grande Gorge Bridge.  

We went to see the Rio Grande. It is so Small River but it is the longest river. I count how many feet deep there, it was 288 feet.  My hypothesis, I dropped water to bottom of the Gorge in the Rio Grande which was 9 seconds.  Now 32 feet.  Equals 1 second, so 32 multiply 9 equal 288 feet. We saw a blue boat which holds 8 people to travel down the Rio Grande River. The bridge was sapphire, lot writing on it, enormous, and very tall. I like to see the Rio Grande River and it very deep in the Gorge. The river was longest and small river.

We went to Taos Pizza out Back. We ate different kinds of pizza. Anne, Sophia, Barbara, Nancy got Greek Pizza. The Greek pizza had tomato, spinach, black olives and cheese. I got Sandy’s special. The Sandy’s special had pineapple, chicken breast, bbq sauce, cheese, and green Chile. Cesar got pasta. The pasta had green Chile, chicken, 3 pieces of small pizzas with crab and spaghetti. Jacob got a stick of bread with garlic. Narelis got pizza which I forgot the name. The pizza had chicken breast, cheese, and other things.

            We went to Taos pueblo. We followed a guide and the guide explained about church, pueblo, red Willow River, clothes and language.  We saw the church, red willow river, shop, pueblo, tradition clothes and kiva. The gift shop had different kind of jewelries, rocks, music, and crafts. The jewelries had different kind of stone with a necklace and a bracelet. The church looked like as Loretto church, but inside it was more different than the Loretto church. The color of the church is white and brown. This church was Catholic and this church about mother Mary. A long time the people lived in homes in an apartment because they want protection and didn’t want to get hurt or attacks.

 It was so fun to see Rio Grande Gorge and I like to see largest river and Gorge. I liked to eat pizza and I try some New Mexico’s pizza. It tasted wonderful! I learned about Taos Pueblo and I am interested about red willow water come from mountain of lake.
