Day 3 Only by being in New Mexico for barely three days and already I have a routine of waking up in weird dream involving me in very some wacky adventures then waking up to the journal work. I don’t know if the sun was playing tricks with my very adorable blue eyes. The desert transformed from a desert landscape into a woodland setting! That is like the rock band, Kiss going from hardcore rocking roll song to singing a country song called “God Bless the Broken Road”. Between soaking in the majestic landscape I was also reading a book, titled “A Lion’s Tale” by a pro wrestler Chris Jericho and it is based on his life. It is a laugh out loud book that is brash, funny and outrageous! The ride was very relaxing. The area looked freaking astounding in my mind. The mountains looked gigantic and made me feel like a feeble ant. The remains of the Native Americans homes are still there and it amazes me how they can morph mother earth materials into house, pottery and hunting big game. Their homes in the mountains are like electrifying! Why would I use the word electrifying? The Native American used the caves and made it livable. Once I looked into those caves it like I wanted to live in one of those caves. Overall the place was very calming with the birds singing and the wind blowing. I was one with nature! Earlier in the day the park ranger warned us of rattle snakes. Every one got wide eye but me! I love rattlers and I kept my eye out for them while traveling the trail. If I saw one, I would be taking pictures of it while withholding the urge to pick up the dangerous snake. Reminding my self of past experiences with countless of other animals I learned a very crucial lesson in my young life. That lesson is that I’m a complete idiot and injury prone to harmful and harmless animals. I had no such luck finding a rattle snake.
The science museum was fun even though I was only there for a short time. The group mainly stayed in the area of the atomic bomb and the nuclear era. Luckily, I learned a good load of information on the atomic bomb. It is very complex to explain in great details but the main idea was that New Mexico was one of the major areas where they tested the atomic bomb. Also after the bombings the museum gave us information of the nuclear era. The museum also provided a movie of the atomic bomb and its effect on WWII and its aftermath. The movie was BORING! I had a hard time not falling asleep and WWII is one of my most favorite topics and that didn’t keep me awake. I think it was the narrator’s voice that sounded very bland and tiring. There was one thing that made me wanted to do 10,000 back flips. It was hearing one of the world’s greatest scientists speak (also with one of the coolest hair styles ever in this wacky fun filled place we love to call earth) Albert Einstein!!! I MEAN MY MIND WAS BLOWN TO PIECES RIGHT WHEN I HEARD HIS VOICE!
