Bandelier National Park - Day 3
Buenos dias a todos,… ¿Como estas?
Good morning everyone… How are you?
This morning we woke up a little bit early and fatigued then we started to type journals and investigations because we did not finish. Also, today was cloudy, a little rain in the morning, and made us not motivated and our bodies felt heavy. But it does not rain a lot like the northeast because in the southwest it rain then the sun shines. When we went to the Bandelier National Park to learn what Native Americans did and about their history. We saw the rain came with us because it was Nancy Zurek’s fault because she said, “We bring the rain from Connecticut and that is why it is raining”. Then Barbara French parked for observe where the volcano erupted a long time ago. We explored in the middle of the mountains. We saw the rain was coming with us and the water it was cold because Nancy Zurek said that.
In the Bandelier National Park is a charming place and over 1,000 years ago the Native Americans lived there. The Native Americans moved 500 years ago because of the reason the water vaporized and it was very dry also. Also, they made house inside the mountains and in the high mountains too, so I can’t imagine how Native Americans climbed to the house with food, water and everything what they need. Really, I liked to live there because I felt connected with them so I wish someone would go to visit in Bandelier National Park because is gorgeous! I heard something about two sentences I liked because made me feel right which was “Oh, Little Mother in the Earth” and “Oh, Little Father in the Sky”. The National Park Resource explain to us before we going walk around the Bandelier National Park
The Ancestral Pueblo People were in this area. We sat to eat our lunch because we were hungry. So, when we were eating and chatting then I saw Barbara French imagine what it was like and who lived there in many years ago. She heard the Great Spirit, say, “We are one connected to earth”. Also, I gave three more words in Spanish which was sky- cielos, look- mira, lion – leon. She still struggled with that too but she is learning and sometime she makes mistakes but that is good to learn mistakes then later it will be easy for her.
The Bandelier National Park was a magnificent experience because of how the Native American lived there, how they survived by themselves, how they can connected with the great spirit to the earth and they created many things because they did not have materials like Europe. For example; the Native Americans did not have metal, wheels or horse and they made everything by hands and carried by hands also. Most men are stronger because they worked hard for women and women worked for men. So they connected with each other with family or friends. So, the Native Americans can do different things about what they needed. I enjoyed this place because I can’t imagine how Native Americans lived there many years ago. I’m telling you this Natural Park was gorgeous and I wish someone would go visit there because you would enjoy and walk a lot also and where the Ancestral Pueblo People lived.
