Bandelier National Monument and Bradbury Science Museum

climbing the ladder at bandelierBandelier National Monument and Bradbury Science Museum are two places that show the pride of New Mexico! One place illustrates the proud heritage of native people, while the museum of science shows the impact of the atomic bomb made on Japan. Get ready to learn like you have never learned before.

A long time ago the Native Americans lived in Frijoles Canyon and they were the ancestors of Pueblo Indians. They never knew or saw anyone from Europe and they did not have metal, wheels, or horses. Also, a long time ago, archeologists called them the Anasazi but now Pueblo people today feel that name is offensive and disrespectful. They are now called Ancestral Pueblo. The trail was marked with different numbers and each number has a different purpose to explain things on the trail. Some were living in the Canyon, view from the pueblos at bandelierGetting Food, Using Native Plants, Big Kiva, An Unexcavated Building, Tyuonyi, Tyuonyi Plaza, Three Kivas, People All Around, Cave and Tuff, Reconstructed Home, Snake Kiva, Another Ladder, Cave Kiva, Frey Trail, Pottery, Frey’s Orchard, Long House Petroglyphs and A Pictograph.

It rained for a while and the sun came across into the Mother of the Earth who has given birth to Nature’s beauty: Bandelier National Park while Father of the Sky is working his way to the Nature’s beauty while we were hiking our way to the Ancestral Pueblos People’s historic homes and homeland. It is amazing that people from around the world come to see the Ancestral Pueblo People’s Bradbury museum entranceworld. From our experiences of seeing the Bandelier National Park, the nature is magnificent and made us feel connected.

The Bradbury Science Museum was the second place we went to and we were having curiosity of seeing the Human Genomes Project but we ended up looking at the LITTLE BOYS and FAT MAN models of nuclear atomic bombs. We saw the movie about the World War II and how American people move to Los Alamos because a long time ago this place was empty and very few people lived here. Then, later start constructed building private atomic bombs. People from around the world came to Los Alamos because the temperature was not too hot and too cold, so it was just right! Also, they can test the bomb in Los Alamos because there is so much space on this place!
