wandering

riding and writingWhat is that?! The lamp in my bedroom with Vilmarie continues flashing like strobe and vibrations shakes my nerves all over my body back to alive! My feet twinkled and I stepped to the floor steady, ready to be beautiful like a soft flower’s petals. The beeping sound kept me wondering what that is. A few seconds later, I figured it’s my alarm to wake me up! Egh, so embarrassing but it is awesome to have an alarm to help me wake up without the help of Nutt. Nutt, you should be happy that you don’t have to wake me up and you can save some of your energy!!

zen tennAnyways, I am sure you guys wanted to know what we did today. Um… this morning, we went to Norris Dam. Norris Dam is a popular tourist and recreation destination because it was the first dam TVA built, and it was is named after senator George Norris from Nebraska, father of the TVA Norris Dam who wrote the legislation that created TVA. Also in the Norris Dam, it has beautiful scenery of the dam and nature beyond the dam.waterwheel

It’s hard to believe that the Norris Dam is 265 feet high and stretches 1,860 feet long across the Clinch River. I was told that the construction of Norris Dam began in 1933, during the depression. The Dam was completed in 1936.So it took them about six years to complete the Norris Dam.

learningSpeaking of the Norris Dam’s history and information, this should be good enough information for you guys because you can check out our investigation about the Norris Dam! We have photos, investigation, log, and much more at our website. So you guys can get some idea what we did today. After sightseeing the Dam and Norris Dam’s museum, we decided to hike 1.2 miles foot trail nearby the Norris Dam and explore the species of ants and bugs in the nearby stream. I think its great way to finish our day!

I think you might wonder why I put the headline for my journal “Wandering like a Wild Mountain Goat.” While we were hiking through the foot trail, Cesar and I wore flip flops which are not proper for hiking. Luckily, I have some hiking experience so I can use my hiking techniques to keep up with my flip flops. Cesar was kind of disappointed because he prefers hiking shoes so he can run like a goat as long he wants. A funny thing that Nutt said that I am the goat because I can hike just like the goat does. Jumping the rocks, skimming the huge roots, and wide steps and fast paced through the foot trail is my favorite thing to do. in the waterThese things help me to concentrate mentally, keep me in shape, and be close with nature. Of course, I would look for bugs and cool nature resources as I hike! Wink.

Live, laugh, love is three words that we use to do together which is great. We will live together for only 10 days as a family. After our adventures, we will come back to our dormitory and work on journals and stuff that has to be done by today, and we will share our laughter together. We women share love to the ‘poor’ boy because he is the only one boy in our On the Road program! The three L’s shall be continuing in our lives until its end. See ya tomorrow!
