The best memory I have of this trip to San Francisco is going to Alcatraz because it had a lot of cool information about the people behind bars such as the many men who tried to escape from that island had some cool tricks. One thing, the men who went through the hole and they put the dummies on the bed so the officer thought they were sleeping. But the men’s plans failed because the island had a lot of officers who were looking for them. At the end, it was my favorite quote and it said “Alcatraz was never no good for nobody.” I really liked to read people’s background about how they did put in this island. I was really like to read very historical place with the adventures like that island!
My favorite moment was when we are in the Sutter’s Mill, we stopped in the American River then we threw the rocks called skipping stones. We have to find the flat rocks and threw through the water. One time, I threw the rocks that did fly over the river and hit the ground in the distance. I said, “WOW”! But the girls cannot throw far like me! They said that I have a great arm and I said, “YUP!” One time, I threw the rock that flew over the river and accidentally hit the birds! OOPS! They were just flew away which I felt really bad for them. I hoped that the birds will not “owe” me!
I was very thankful to our teachers that I was chosen to go on that trip and I had a really good time in San Francisco! Besides my throat, I have to be positive to keep going and have fun. I did really like to type the investigations more than journals because the investigations made me to keep thinking a lot! I thought that my writing and grammar have improved since last year! Thanks again! |
