tiredToday I woke up feeling really lousy, I would not be able to describe how I felt. We didn’t have any bread so we got something for lunch at Subway. Once we had our sandwiches, we headed out to the Golden Gate Bridge to look at it and eat.at the bridge I slept on the way there because I still wasn’t feeling too well. Once we got there, we looked for a place to eat. There were benches right in front of the Bridge, so it was a perfect view. We sat down and started to eat.

When everyone was done eating, we had to stop at the restroom. As us girls were in line for the restroom, we saw that there was there was a ticket on our van window. Nutt said it couldn’t be because we were next to a handicap parking space. parking ticketLater we found out it was for an expired meter, but the meter was in the handicap space so we didn’t know it was for our parking space. So Charise took a picture to show the people that we didn’t realize that it was for us.

on the bridgeOnce we got started on the road again, we went over the bridge and headed out toward the Muir Woods National Park. Again I slept on the way there. Once we got there, the parking lot was so full and so we had to keep circling until we decided to look at the other parking lot, and we got a parking space.

We started to walk to the visitor center and paid to get into the park. When we walked into the park, itself, we started to see the redwoods. They were so tall and thick at the bottom. It was just a sight to see. As we continued walking, there were just so many trees. Then we decided to take a trail and start the hike that would take longer than we expected.

redwoodsThe hike started out as something we were all enjoying, and then Megan, Darren, Kangni, and Charise got ahead of the rest of us. Then Mike got ahead which was really surprising because he had these shoes on that he couldn’t even walk in. Eventually they had gotten to far ahead that Nancy, Nutt, and I had no idea where they were or how far up ahead they were. Nutt kept asking people who we past on the trail if they saw a boy in sandals because Nutt was worried that Mike got hurt or something because of the shoes that he had on. tree branchWhen we got to this fork in the trail, we past this family that said they did see this boy with a green shirt and a backpack with this lady who had dark hair go down the path that went down. We knew that it was Mike and Charise so we went down the same trail to see if we can catch up to them.

feetWhat happened was as we were going down the trail they were coming back up the trail because they knew that they were going the wrong way. When we met up, Nutt told them that we need to stay as a group and not get ahead of each other next time because we wouldn’t know if something would have happened. After Nutt talked with the group that was ahead of us, we started back the way we came so that we wouldn’t get lost. Once we got to the bottom, we took pictures of our dirty feet. Then we were on our way back to school, and I slept again in the van. It felt really fast compared to the morning ride. Once we go to school we started to work on our journals, but I as so tired that I went to bed before anyone else did. It was so exhausting!
