  We all had to wake up and be ready early so that we could head out to Monterey Bay to the aquarium. When we got there, Nutt went to see if we could get in like a group. While she was talking to the women at the ticket stand, I and everyone else went to look at the view. It was beautiful to see. The water we thought was dirty; from all the algae.
Once Nutt got the tickets we were able to go inside. The first thing that I noticed was this Orca Whale that was hanging from the ceiling. I took a picture of it. We started to walk and we saw a section that talked about the otters that they had there. We saw that they were all asleep, so we went downstairs and saw they had a sample of the fur. It was really soft and it was a dark brown. The lady said that there was another part of the museum that showed the difference between the sea and freshwater otter, so we went there to check it out.
 In the other building, they had the freshwater otters which in my opinion were a lot cuter than they sea otters. They were smaller and that is why I thought they were cuter, also their face was cuter in my opinion. They had information about the differences. One of the differences is that the sea other is between 40 to 70 lbs and the freshwater otter is 10 to 30 lbs. Also the skeletons are shaped a little different, they aren’t the same.
 After watching the freshwater otters for a while, we went outside to eat. By that time I was hungry and couldn’t wait to start eating. When I finished eating, I went to the railing with Megan and she showed me the starfish that she found in the water. You can see many starfishes in the water if you looked good enough. I saw at least three there today.
 We went back in to watch the feeding of the otters at 1:30. While we were waiting, I started to get a headache and my stomach was bothering me. It was also getting hot there because there were so many people around and we were all close together. So I stepped out from in front of the glass, were I originally was, so that I can get some more room and cool off a little bit.
 Once the feeding was over, we went to the deep ocean section and took our day seven photo. After taking the photo, Nutt said that we can go and see whatever we wanted to see but we had to meet under the orca whale at 3 o’clock. So Megan, Kangni, and I went to see the penguins on the second floor. When we got there, the smell of fish was bothering my stomach so we couldn’t stay there for long. We took some photos then went outside so that I can get some air.
 When we got outside, I started to feel better. We all three sat down on the bench that was there and started talking. While we were talking, the aquarium was putting on a skit to teach people that throwing garbage in the ocean was killing a lot of animals. I didn’t listen to the whole skit but it was cute and I can tell the kids were paying attention. Anyway, Megan, Kangni, and I were talking about who we thought were cute/hot that was a famous actor or singer. Then we started talking about who was pretty that was a singer or an actress.
We went into the building again because we knew it was getting close to three or was already three. There everyone was waiting for us. Once we were all together, we headed out to the car. Darren said that he was willing to pay for us to have Dippin Dots ice cream. On the other hand, Darren, Nutt, and Nancy all got something from Starbucks. When everyone was finished with what they had ordered, we got into the car.
 We started to drive to the Big Sur, but we stopped at this tide pool. It had rocks that Darren, Nutt, and I climbed to the top of the rocks, but Darren and I got there before anyone did. Then Nutt arrived after we did. Once we stayed up there for a while, we all headed back down. On the way up, we past Megan and Kangni going up. It was funny watching them because they both had balance problems so they were using their hands the whole time to keep themselves balanced.
After staying there for a while, we started out to Big Sur. On the way there, thought I would go ahead and start my journal but I couldn’t finish it because my headache was bothering me so much that I just decided to sleep. I slept the whole time and I missed Big Sur. I kept waking up because the van would be bumpy at times and it would bother my headache. Also I would be feeling hot. After awhile I had taken two chewable Tylenols to help with my headache. When we got to school my headache was gone. Well that is what happened today, until tomorrow, see you guys later! |
