Getting up from the scratchy bed, I was very tired but I was thankful that I have to wake up late around 9pm. I have to eat something because I was very ravenous because of my throat and I had only eaten little a bit! I ate an egg which I am glad that I can eat something else than yogurt. We went to Winchester Mystery House in San Jose and it was very immense house that Sarah L. Pardee designed! She got the news from the ghost which told her to keep build the house or she can die. But she continues to build the house until she died! It was 38 years building the enormous house! We said like WHOA! We entered the building and there was a gigantic gift shop which it have most everything on it such as coffee cup, shirts, and tags. We will shop later on after the tour of Mystery House and we were very exhilarating. Then, we ate lunch before the tour because it may be a long tour.Next, we went to the house and we did meet the guide of the tour which can tell the details about the Mystery House so we can write down for our investigation. We followed the guide person and we saw the Winchester’s family tree which some people who took over the president of Winchester Rifles. It was very interesting because it is obviously a family owner. Right away, we walked many rooms like around 110 out 160 and there were very mysterious steps and some holes have to be thirteen. It was very strange to me because I don’t why she has some windows so she can see her servants no matter where such as upstairs and downstairs. There were some rooms that made me to felt rousing such as beautiful colorful glasses that can look like rainbow when the sunny comes through. Some rooms that made me too felt terrified because there was a bedroom where Sarah sleeps. She was very small in the height such as four feet and ten inches. It sounded little funny because the carpenters invented the small steps because Sarah had hard time to step the regular steps and she was suffered from sore hips. I did really feel little windy when I did step the small steps and it was kind of cool invention for old people. I did saw some rooms that damaged from the earthquake in 1906 and there were some big cracks. I can’t imagine when the earthquake shook the room and it could be scary moment for them who sleep in the house. In the end of the tour, the guide explained the interesting facts such as 160 rooms, 10,000 windows, 2,000 doors, and 47 fireplaces! We were so shocked then we explained to her about our mission: On the Road. After that, we went to the gift shop to buy something that was very cool and I did brought a t-shirt, 4 funny posters about the monkey, and a book about the ghost stories in California which they are equal to fifty dollars! But I don’t mind to but that because I have enough money so I don’t have to worry about. We thought that Nancy, Anne, and Charise were enjoyed to read the woman’s wisdom because there were a lot of quotes that agreed with that. Then, we went to the Winchester garden and there were many beautiful flowers from different countries such as Asia and Australia. It was very nice to have a tour of the garden because it had some water foundations which have the donation from some organizations. Then we took our pictures in the deck which it had some beautiful colors such as pink and white. But I did saw the ants on the bench which it made me to be careful when I sat down because I really hate ants! Later on, we went back to the cottage and we started our journals about today. In few hours later, we ate good dinner such as roni rice chicken flavor and chicken. It was my first time that I am so full and my belly is kind of big than before! YAYA! |
