Darren and I woke up at around 7:30am and we were very exhausted because we chatted over the night. We slept like about midnight which it was kind of bad time to sleep. We almost missed our breakfast because we have to leave about 9:30am but lucky we didn’t!

peaceful bridgeWe walked to Bay Area Rapid Transportation (BART) and it was very long walk because I felt like we walked about 3/4 miles to get there! We rode the BART to Civic Center and it was kind of boring to ride because it was very slow-moving but there was very pleasant view of dry mountains!

When we arrived there, we were very thrilled to see San Francisco and we wanted to see Golden Gate Park! We went to the bus and we were very shaky because the bus was stopped then go… I hate that kind of bus I was really like to see different people in the bus. Some people were very funny when the bus stopped and I saw a man who almost fell against other person! I was really feel bad because he was hurt his knees after that.

Then, we walked to the Golden Gate Park and we saw many homeless people that sleep on the grass. It was very sad to see that and it was completely different than New York City. We walked through the park and it was very spectacular view of trees and flowers. We saw the lawn bowling game and we decided to eat lunch while they were playing. We were very freezing because the wind from the ocean nearby was blowing hard!

After that, we went to AIDS National Grove and it was very nice to be honor to have that! We walked through the trail and there were a lot of nice-smelling flowers such as lavender smell. One thing was very nice to honor some AIDS people’s names that died on the circle. Suddenly, we saw two people and one was old man who seems soon to die. They just hugged each other and we were very touched from that! It was very sad and I felt little heartbreaking because I had never saw anything like that!

pagodaNext, we went to Japanese garden and it was really nice entrance because it had Japanese-style welcome. We walked through the garden and it was completely different than Chinese garden from last year. We saw some enormous Pagoda buildings and it had really beautiful colors and bright too! Then, we went to the restaurant which we had the snacks and hot tea such as Jasmine and Green. We were felt very relaxing and chatted about old songs in the past.

Later, we walked to the park which saw some different countries’ plants and we was very fascinated in Australian plants such as eucalyptus trees which it was very smooth! I felt like that tree was my one of smoothest tree ever I touch! We couldn’t wait to walk through hippie road because we really wanted to see it!

Finally, we went to Ashbury and Haight Street which was popular for hippies to hang out and party there in the 1960s! There were colorful visions everywhere such colorful housesas paintings, houses, and clothing. It was very awesome that I did touch the popular hippie area and it was very unimaginable because in the past, many people just hanged out there and stayed overnight! I felt like WOW!

After that, we went to BART to get back to the cottage. I really had an enjoyable time in the garden. I did go to the hospital for check up my throat to make sure it was all right. Good news: there was no problem in my throat. Bad news: I felt same way like before but I hope it will getting better very soon! So I am looking forward for tomorrow’s trip!
