Today I had to meet at ASD at 6 so that we can leave on time to pick up Darren, Mike, and Kangni on the way before we had to go to the airport in NYC. We were stuck in traffic for a long time and we thought that we were going to miss our plane. We got there at like 10 and we rushed to the ticket place to get our tickets and get our luggage weighed. After we did that we headed for the security to go to our gates. There was a long line that we had to wait in. By the time that we got passed security we only had like 10 minutes before we were to board the plane. We had to walk a long way to get to our gate so we were all walking fast to make sure that we got there on time. We did!

When we all got on the plane, we were like yes we made it! Once the plane started to take off, I had pulled out my book and started to read. I had finished my book and I started to look out at the landscape to see if I can guess where we were and see how much longer it would be until we landed. I finally got to see the Rocky Mountains because last year I missed them because I was sleeping. This year I was awake the whole time and I saw the end of the flight. They were beautiful but I know they weren’t as beautiful as they were on the trip to Washington last summer. I thought that the mountains looked a little small, but they were still a sight to see.
We landed in San Francisco, California around 3 in the afternoon but by the time we got our luggage and found the place where you rent cars. You had to take what is called an “airtrain” which is a train that is up on higher tracks, which was really cool. The airport was huge and I was like wow. When we did get the van and got all the luggage in, we were on our way to the California School for the Deaf or otherwise known as Fremont School for the Deaf. We arrive here at Fremont around 5 and then we were able to get settled in.

Around 7 we went to McDonald’s to eat dinner. We stayed there eating and talking and just relaxing. When we left, all of us students stayed in the dorm so that we can work on our journal. Nutt and Charise went out to go shopping for food so that we have food to eat while we stay here at Fremont. We are looking forward to a long day tomorrow as we explore the wonderful city of San Francisco! Until then, talk to you later!!!!
